School Photos - Zinefest
What is a Zinefest? It's a celebration of research, writing and drawing culminating in a poem or magazine-style product. The entire Safford K8 community participated in the creation and review of the final zines. Some had Frida Kahlo-styled self-portraits. Some wrote "Where I am From" poems and some researched the Sonoran Desert animals and plants.

School Photos - Safford Noche de Mariachi y Folklorico
Safford K-8 "Folklorico Los Huskies" hosted a spectacular celebration on April 4, with featured guests from Grupo Folklorico Miztontli (UA), Mariachi Rayos del Sol from Tucson High and Mariachi Aztlan from Pueblo. Their first "Noche de Mariachi y Folklorico" was a combination of talent and skill that combined live music with beautifully choreographed dance.
